Being Unheard: The Torment of a Marginalized Artist
Imagine a life where your creative voice is never heard. My art resonates with no one. This, unfortunately, is the lousy reality faced by countless artists every day. Often, my images are a lamentation for an unheard voice, marginalised and cast aside.
With every rebuff, rejection, the sense of being lifted up and beaten down, of feeling deluded, overshadows our days. Our pain destroys love. Relationships suffer. Our pain and grief are met with indifference, is a reality all too familiar to those of us who pour our hearts and souls into our craft. I have episodes of murderous rage at being silenced and marginalized. Sadness, anger, loss, rage! These are the true force powering my art.
