By Ali Hibbs Albany, N.Y. — The state Legislature has announced that a joint public hearing on the New York Health Act ( S.3577 / A.5248) has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 28. The bill would create a universal, publicly funded single payer health plan — New York Health — to provide comprehensive health coverage for all New Yorkers. Under the plan, every New York resident would be eligible to enroll,
