CVA look-back window gives survivors of child abuse one year to file civil suit
By Ali Hibbs Albany, N.Y. — The Child Victims Act went into effect on Wednesday, Aug. 14, giving victims of childhood abuse one year to bring charges against their perpetrators that would otherwise have exceeded statutory time constraints. Now that the relevant section of the Child Victims Act has gone into effect, individuals who have experienced sex abuse are now able to bring a lawsuit against their
