What is Buddhism?
Buddhism is the fourth-largest religion in the world, after Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism. Approximately 500 million people identify as Buddhists, with the majority living in Asia. However, Buddhists live around the world.
Buddhism can be summarized by its "three jewels:"
- The Buddha, which means the awakened one or the enlightened one.
- The Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha, and
- The Sangha, the community of Buddhist monastics and lay people.
Our questions will delve into each jewel in detail.
