

Chapter 2 - House Guest


The room was eerily silent except for the occasional hum of the refrigerator. Gavin sat on the edge of the couch, still clutching the bat like a lifeline. His mind raced, trying to make sense of what was happening.
Nate sat comfortably on the couch across from him, examining the room with a curious gaze, as if he were a guest in someone's home rather than a ghostly apparition. There were no whirls of light, clouds or misty orbrs. Nor was there howling, moaning or any of the other sounds ghost make in horror films.
