Jason's eyes snapped open.
He was sure he'd heard something-soft footsteps in the hallway, followed by the faint click of a door latch.
He sat up in bed, heart racing. His door was supposed to be locked.
He crept toward it, holding his breath. The handle sightly warm, as if someone had just touched it.
Down the hall, the red "EXIT sign flickered. No one was there. But he swore he heart a faint jingle.
Keys.
Someone had been inside.
And they had the master key.
