“The Tele"
5 minutes into our chat, I stare down at my tea. Hot and swirling with milk.
The round yellow table stares at me and the old phone on the wall starts to ring. It echos a bit in the flat-kitchen.
It's George from down stairs. “He has mail for you.”
I ran down the stairs.
George hands me my mail "Hello George". Looking up at the bar, it is busy in the middle of the day.
I see you standing in the middle of the room.
"Why are you here?"
"Just grabbing a whiskey".
The streets are super busy this time of day.
You give my hand a twirl as I am almost hit by the yellow cab.
We pass the movie theater,
" I have to show you something".
" You almost killed me today",
"Sure".
