A Letter Across Time

I hope this letter finds you well, though I suspect that phrase carries more weight than either of us might have imagined when we first began our correspondence. There's something I need to tell you, something I've never shared with anyone in all my years of wandering this earth. You've been such a dear friend through our letters, and your wisdom and understanding have meant more to me than you could possibly know. What I'm about to share will sound impossible, perhaps even mad, but I trust you'll read to the end before passing judgment.
