Chapter 1: A Strange Job in the Middle of Nowhere Sorin is seventeen years old, standing 5’5” tall and weighing 120 pounds, with an average build. His dark brown hair is naturally wavy and cut to stop at the tops of his ears. He has brown eyes and a light tan complexion, which, combined with his relaxed confidence, makes him popular with the ladies, whether he notices it or not. He lives in a small city called Maple, located in his home country of Avalon. With a population of only 100 people, Maple is small but highly futuristic, well educated, and peaceful. Advanced technology is part of everyday life, and the close-knit community means that everyone knows each other. Sorin had recently graduated from college and celebrated the achievement with friends and family before heading home late that night. Looking for something to do over the summer, Sorin jumped on his computer to search for a job to earn extra money. However, living in such a small city had its downsides.
