Deepfake technology, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create hyper-realistic fake videos or images, has gained significant attention worldwide. In South Korea, deepfake technology has advanced rapidly, driven by the country’s strong tech industry and widespread use of digital media. While this innovation offers exciting possibilities in entertainment and marketing, it also raises serious ethical and legal concerns, particularly regarding misinformation and privacy violations.
