One morning, while Lady was dragging herself out of bed to make tea and enjoy a slice of banana bread, there came a tremendous BANG!

It was almost like an earthquake.

Lady was tossed into the air, and her teacups trembled upon their shelves. When the chaos finally settled, she thanked everything good in her tiny world that not a single cup or saucer had so much as a chip.

Lady wrapped herself in a cozy cardigan before peeking outside. She opened the door just enough for one little eye to peek through the crack.

She was met with a bitterly cold breeze.

Lady quickly shut the door and leaned against it, wondering whether the earth had truly shaken or if she was simply suffering from a severe lack of banana bread.

Just as she turned to return to her tiny kitchen nook—

BANG!

Another tremendous crash came from outside.

Poor Lady landed on her bottom once again.

Clutching her cardigan tightly around herself, she swung the front door wide open to see...

Nothing.

Lady stood there, thoroughly puzzled.

Another gust of icy wind brushed past her, making her turn away from it. As she did, she finally spotted the cause of all the shaking.

A great, towering yellow candle made of wax had tumbled down the hillside.

Thank goodness her little home rested beside a cluster of sturdy rocks. Otherwise, there might not have been a house left at all.

Even in the cold, Lady could smell the candle from her doorstep.

"Mmmmmm... honey," she murmured.

The moment she realized what kind of wax the candle was made from, she heard a faint buzzing in the distance.

It grew louder by the second.

Where there is the sweet smell of honey, there are always bees.

But what was a bee doing out in the cold?

Lady wondered.
