Go2Web20
This one really has a special place in my memory. I used to visit this site quite regularly. It was a big giant directory that was endlessly expanding by the day of different new, shiny Web 2.0 "beta" apps. Every day you could go there and find a fresh batch of sites to check out.
They weren't related by any common topic, theme, or function. It was just a constant stream of aspirational startups that seemed like it might never come to an end.
Until it did.

I'm not sure if kids today will appreciate just how smooth, shiny and impressive this site actually was for it's time. It felt so sleek and magical compared to the directories that came before it.
It was perhaps the last time any web design implementing Flash was anything but absolutely disastrous. And it's existence now as an archived relic on the Wayback Machine is super unreliable due to heavily relying on it.
I miss this site. I miss the absurd stream of new apps, only half of which you could glean any sort of idea what it would be based on its name (that was always suspicously missing the last E in a word)
