

Chapter 5 - The Line
After their night together, Aubrey pulls back—scared of how much Noah makes her feel. She avoids him on campus, but her thoughts won't shut up. At night in the art studio, she tries to lose herself in her sketchbook... and ends up drawing him.
Noah shows up. Soaked from the rain. Quiet. Raw.
He didn't kiss her. Doesn't touch her like before. He just sits with her in the silence. And when the moment stretches so long it almost hurts, he says the words no one was supposed to say first:
"I think I'm falling."
Aubrey doesn't answer. She doesn't have to. Because it's already too late—for both of them.
