Quantifying Human Emotions
Human emotions are complex and hard to measure with current scientific methods, due to their subjective and ever-changing nature. While science has advanced, emotions remain difficult to quantify.
This difficulty arises because emotions are unique to each person, involve multiple biological and psychological processes, and are constantly changing. Attempts to quantify emotions have been made through various methods, but they're limited by the subjective nature of emotional experiences.
Some scholars suggest that new approaches are needed to fully grasp the complexity of human emotions, possibly involving qualitative and experiential methods that better capture the subjective and dynamic nature of emotional experiences.
