Bodies upon bodies of many Omaticaya and their allies filed in to the Tree of Souls. The people came together to sing at each funeral. Burying their people under flowers, atokirina and tears. With each person came a renewed feeling of guilt to Jake. And from afar, Neytiri could see it taking affect. Though the words died on her lips every time she wanted to console her mate. For she still grieved her father, closest friend and others of her clan. The clan had to continue. Had to relocate. Had to have structure once again.

Jake was appointed the new Olo'eyktan. Neytiri was so proud. To have her husband, not only be Toruk Makto but the new clan leader, it was monumentous. It reassured her after the decision she made to be mated. The role of tsahík was no longer an option that could be granted to her. Mo'at made it clear. Though Jake had proven his value as part of the people, the union was not of them. It was not planned and it costed Neytiri. Even if it was not the life she wanted to begin with.

There was a celebration after Jake became the new clan leader, as was customary. There was food, drink and dancing. All of which Neytiri would have usually participated in, but chose to sit aside. Watching as the festivities commenced. Next to her mother's side as she saw Jake in the middle of the grand night.

"How are coming along, ma'ite?" Mo'at would ask as she picked apart her food. Neytiri was quiet for some time. Barely touching any of the talioang that had been hunted earlier that day. "I am fine." She answered quietly. Mo'at looked towards her and then down at her stomach before looking back up. "Have you been sick?" Neytiri shook her head. "Then why do you not eat? That child will need food to grow." Agitated, Neytiri's tail flicks as her ears taper close to her head as she now began to pick at her food in annoyance. "I am...thinking. That is all." She didn't want to speak. Not now. Silence was all Neytiri wanted to surround herself with. So that she could think in peace. Grieve...in peace. Mo'at understood this feeling. However she knew this isolation would only cause Neytiri to fall into a depression. That would be dangerous. With or without her being pregnant.

"The grieving period is far from over. However, Ma'ite, Eywa is with you. The great mother has a plan for all of us and it will soon be revealed. I pray that you believe in that." After Mo'at spoke, she moved aside to allow her daughter to be alone. In her absence, Neytiri saw as one lone atokirina floated lightly above her. Almost dancing around her head before drifting off. This was a sign. It had to be.
