There's a version of the AI software story that gets told most often: models keep getting bigger and better, and eventually they'll write all our code for us. It's a compelling narrative, and parts of it are already true. But it skips over a question that matters just as much as raw model capability: when AI generates billions of software interfaces, who decides which ones can actually be trusted to run in production? The answer to that question, more than any single model's benchmark score, is what will determine who wins as this technology matures.
