Kano put a hand over his face, nursing a post drinkage headache that was beginning to form. Eidothea stood away from him, her back turned and her arms crossed. Carry however stood looking at both of them, feeling sorry she had caused such grief. New free will and consciousness aside, she was meant to help the captain. And instead she had potentially ruined the mission, though she hoped she could find a way to get them back on track. “Perhaps we could just look around for a force powerful enough to correct this error. There's bound to be a bright enough mind around that would know of a way to accomplish such a task.” She said finally, breaking the pair of clones moment of silence.

Kano was, of course, completely mystified in that moment. “Dazed” wouldn’t have done justice to the level of confusion that went through his poor, badly made clone brain. Luckily, Eidothea was there, and bright as ever. She understood the mission, the instructions, even the means to get there. One thing she didn’t quite understand was why that weird little gut feeling inside her was screaming that this was a bad idea.

Kano broke the awkward silence by saying, "Well, if that's what we're doing, then I'm all in. Let's uncover your mystery — maybe I'll learn something about myself in the process." Thea smiled and replied, "When we've found the Argomid, we can change course and find out what your past is. I'll stick around for that." Kano smiled back at her, then stumbled as the Careener jostled. "We have now entered the atmosphere of the planet Peleppargo. We will be touching down shortly," Carry chimed. Thea helped him to his feet, then shot him a worried smile and said, "Okay! Here goes everything, I suppose!"

“It would seem, Captain, that Eidothea is not owned by ANY of the Xynian companies in existence. Therefore I cannot register her as a crew member. Are you satisfied with my answers to your query, Captain?” Kano folded his arms and stamped his foot. “No! I am NOT satisfied with those answers. How did you expect me to find crew members outside of Xynian territory?” At this question, Carry chimed back immediately, “To add a non-Xynian into a Xynian conclave, a person of enough standing must make a company under their parent branch and have the non-Xynian sign an ownership form to verify their employment. Would you like to make a company, Captain?” Kano stood there in stunned silence for a moment. “Yes, Carry—I'll make a company.”

But before Kano could reach the pool, he heard a mysterious voice say: “Excuse me, sir. You look like a man with his whole future ahead of him. How’d you like to know what it will be?” He turned to the question and saw a woman. She had an alabaster complexion and black hair that shone in the light and hung around her face in loose curls, pushed back by a bandana. She wore many loose layers of colorful cloth that swayed and shifted constantly, but hung on her just perfectly enough to define the curves of her body. Kanopus also noticed that on her wrists were a great many gold bracelets, extending in great variety from her wrists halfway to her elbows. And her face—it was lit up with a sultry smile and a mischievous glint in her bright green eyes. But when he turned to look at her, the look changed from mischievous to a twisted-up face before she burst out with a laugh. “What? What is it? What happens in my future??”

But there was only one sigil that she recognized from the artifact, a line with a squiggle that ran down it to make it look almost like a spring or a screw. In its description it claimed this sigil was used commonly for teleportation, but the costs of the materials to inscribe the sigil were rather hard to acquire. Apparently it had to be written in fresh blood, but not just any blood. It had to be the blood of a very powerful undead creature.

“Hello there!” The blonde one said cheerily with a wave. “You must be Lady Marabelle.” The redhead said smartly. “Welcome to Witches Club” The brunette said sullenly. “We’ve been expecting you” The black haired one said curtly. “I'm Hama!” The blonde said, even more bubbly than before. Which Dimidel didn’t think possible. “Siobhan.” The redhead said with a polite salute. Dimidel couldn't help but feel a bit disarmed by her presence. “My name is Greta.” The brunette said, edges of gloom piercing every word. “And I am Vera” The raven haired one said

Lucky thing she had hidden, she thought as she heard the woman's footsteps leaving the opposite way. As she stood there hearing the pair depart, their footsteps creating a strange unison, she began to feel angry. How could this be? Should she tell Alarae about this? What if this was normal for Franmia? She had most certainly heard of the political game in Franmia being quite intense, but she feared for what they were planning. What's more, she thought, is that they made it sound like there were more of them. She crept back to her room, no longer in the mood for food. In the place the young girl had been standing were a set of footprints scorched into the stone floor.

Dimidel retired to her chambers. As she settled into her new bed, she took a moment to reflect on the day’s events. Despite her apprehension, she felt a growing sense of determination. She was ready to embrace her new life and face the challenges ahead. She decided to start on the book she had grabbed, it was about a young girl who was set on a journey to find love. As the girls was navigating her fresh adulthood she suddenly had to pick up shop and leave to meet her betrothed. Dimidel related heavily with the moody but serene character, and began to doze with those thoughts of missing home. That night, as she drifted off to sleep, Dimidel couldn’t shake the feeling that her journey was just beginning. The future was uncertain, but she was determined to face it with courage and resolve. And it was with all of those thoughts held that Dimidel began dreaming.
