He made the choice—given the option between inpatient and outpatient, he chose inpatient. He’s heading out to Hutchinson, and honestly, I think it’s the best decision for his recovery. The fact that he’s excited to go gives me hope that this time, real change is possible. But last night hit me hard. I was missing him so bad, needing him home. It’s not easy holding things down out here alone. The weight of everything—keeping life together, making sure things don’t fall apart—it’s a lot. But I’m pushing through, because I know this is the step we have to take for a better future.
