I'm a 35 year old Chicago-suburbs dude who now lives with his 2 cats in the middle of nowhere Indiana. I'm working to build a nonprofit addiction counseling and casework company, and work with other nonprofits who help children affected by addiction. I've worked so many places from cab driving and popcorn-hocking, to The Department of Child Services and a prison code-named "The Farm." I've been writing personal essays to cope with my unyielding brain since was I was 15. I live in a 12x20 Amish-built shed with 2 more sheds I've torn down and salvaged pieces of to make it bigger. I've watched every episode of ~1,200 TV shows (most at 1.5 to 2x the speed.) I play 2 instruments well and 5 well enough to fool a layman. I got my degree from IU Bloomington and am a CADAC II addiction counselor. My cats are named Scampi and Maxi.
