K.T. Nerz
As an aspiring author and the creator of a homemade tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), I’ve spent nearly two decades pouring my heart and imagination into a world I call Osmoreth.
It all began when I was just 15 years old, driven by a passion for storytelling and the boundless possibilities of fantasy worlds. What started as a rough concept for a game evolved, over years of trial and error, into something truly special. Countless nights were spent refining rules, balancing mechanics, and breathing life into the intricate lands, characters, and lore of Osmoreth.
By the time my game was playable, I began gathering a group of close friends to embark on adventures within this world of my creation. Together, we explored the realms of Osmoreth through quests and stories that I meticulously crafted. These sessions became more than just games. They were journeys into a living, breathing world where my friends’ characters could shape their own destinies. While their decisions sometimes veered into chaos and unpredictability, it was those moments of humor and tension that brought the stories to life in ways I hadn’t anticipated.
It was during these sessions that I realized I might have something worth sharing with a wider audience. The depth of immersion and the genuine intrigue my friends expressed for the world of Osmoreth and its stories inspired me to take the leap into writing. I decided to adapt the adventures and exploits of their characters, loosely, of course, into a series of novels. The chaos, the triumphs, and even the unwarranted decisions all contributed to the fabric of these tales, making them rich and unpredictable.
Now, after years of dedication and an unyielding belief in the world I’ve created, I’m ready to share Osmoreth with the world. Writing these novels is my way of inviting readers into the universe I’ve spent so much of my life building. A universe shaped by friendship, creativity, and the relentless pursuit of storytelling. This is my journey as an author and creator, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.
