By the time I regained my senses, the blackout had already chewed up thirty minutes. Yes, the blackout—our usual midday guest! It visits daily, and stays sharp for two hours. He sits and watches me go up the wall with no power indifferently and chews on the two hours he has clutched. The Blackout has become a good friend of ours now.
