In my last post, you witnessed in real time me falling in love with the Irish elk — a huge prehistoric deer (not an elk) with comically large antlers. Seriously, the things were 12 feet across and look ridiculous in an endearing way. Here's what they might have looked like compared with the average human 11,000 to 12,000 years ago. It's ridiculous!
