In my previous post, I asked ChatGPT to write me a recipe using five random cooking ingredients that are easy to find. In this post, I bring you results. Spoiler alert: It's pretty good.

Well, I was going to write about this yesterday, on Valentine's Day, but I spent a large portion of my day with my love (my cat) at the doctor (the vet) and then spent the rest of the night trying to get him to take his meds. Thankfully, this is still great and I think you'll still appreciate it.

As with many people, I'm a decent cook, but I never know what to cook. As a result, I end up eating the same things all the time, and I'm getting bored. I thought maybe ChatGPT could help me out.

It's really easy to take things on the internet at face value. I think I'm smart enough to not fall for most things, but I must admit: ChatGPT helped me realize one thing that I do take as fact without further examination.

Time to give ChatGPT a grade on its description of the Irish elk now that I've seen it in person.

In this one, I get ChatGPT to describe the Irish elk in a way that gets my imagination going, but I couldn't let it win so I gave it an apparently impossible task: write a poem without using any of the most commonly used English words.

I'm heading out on a trip in a couple days, and as always, I'm panicking a bit — about what to bring and what to do when I reach my destination, among other things. I wondered if I could get ChatGPT to help a bit, first with my packing list and then with how I should spend my time on my trip.

I have a beef with ChatGPT. I don't have an issue with happy endings, but I like nuanced happy endings. Every time you ask ChatGPT to write you a story, it will, without fail, give you a ridiculously unsatisfying happy ending, unless you give it very specific parameters not to and even then... It seriously needs to work on its endings.

I thought maybe I could use ChatGPT to come up with better prompts than I could. Spoiler alert: The results were mixed.

I thought I knew what AI art was. I thought I just needed to be more detailed (and to some extent, that is true). But this is far more complicated than I thought it was, and I respect the people who do it a lot more than I did a few days ago before I stumbled into all this.
