Video Games keep us from succeeding

I know that I mentioned that I was going to post about democracy on this note, but my mind wandered to the topic I'm going to post about instead. As the title displays, we are going to talk about how video games keep us from succeeding. I know that there are people out there that can make a decent living off of playing video games and posting to either Twitch or YouTube or ant other platforms that are out there. However, it isn't probable and damn near implausible to maintain a career in gaming. One, the amount of hours that one has to put into starting a gaming career, never mind how many hours to maintain your desired level of viewership, is astounding. Also, being a part of the gaming culture can put you in a potential sticky situation in terms of your emotions. Not all, but some people are susceptible to anger, and that can push said people to say some fairly heinous words. And with the way society is today with cancel culture, one's career may end rather quickly if you're careless. The other main reason I believe this is that playing video games gives those who have no status in the real world the illusion of control or power. I say this not to be only critical, but because I am a proponent of this claim. I started gaming when I was four years of age and gamed from then until I was a little older than 25 years old. That's a lot of commitment to one activity. The problem was that I didn't have the know how of making a living off of gaming. If I did, however, I would've eventually gotten "canceled" due to my attitude and my mouth as a teenager. Success in the gaming sphere a very small windows of opportunity, and if you don't cash in when you see the windows, you won't be able to. The older you get, the more decline your reaction timing suffers from. Not to mention the toxic food and drink that gets advertised and encouraged to games alike. Examples being Monster Energy, GFuel, Mtn Dew, frozen easy to cook meals, chips, fast food, etc. All the negatives strongly outweigh the positives of pursuing gaming. Also, your friend groups deteriorate and you're left essentially by yourself. You're better off at working on developing skills in trade worm such as HVAC, plumbing, electrician work, anything that will generate you and your family a lot of security(money).
