I didn’t want to start this stream with anything too dramatic or heavy, so here’s a quieter beginning. Think of this as the first page you brush the dust off before you settle into a much bigger story. Nothing fancy—just a simple entry to open things up.

The Watchman Codex is full of all kinds of pages. Some sections shout with old warnings and strange symbols; others are barely more than a scratch of ink. This one sits somewhere in between. The archivists at the Archivum Noctis don’t usually hand things out, not unless they’re sure it won’t wake up old problems. Most of what they keep is locked behind stone and old iron. But every once in a while, something harmless slips through the cracks.

That’s what this is—one of those small, safe pieces.

You won’t find anything earth‑shaking here. No big prophecies, no strange markings that scholars argue about for years. What you will find are the edges of things. Notes about odd sightings no one ever explained properly. A name that comes up twice in places it shouldn’t. A symbol sketched on the inside of a ruined doorway. Little scraps that hint at a bigger shape behind them.

If you’re new to all this, maybe the best way to think of the Codex is as a collection of people watching the world while everyone else was busy looking somewhere else. Lantern keepers. Listeners. The ones who walked along the boundaries and bothered to write down what they noticed when they came back.

Take your time with what’s here. Let it sit a little. See what it reminds you of.

Sometimes, knowledge changes you in ways you don’t expect. Even a small spark can cast a long shadow if you’re standing in the right place.

Walk lightly as you read.

Some things in these pages remind me of being seen.
