I was outside staring at the moon. It was a nice shade of blue and gray, my two favorite colors. The moon reminded me of how peaceful my life used to be. I sat there on the porch stairs a little longer than I intended. I was supposed to be helping my little brother with his homework. I should go do that before my mom complains, I thought. I got off the stairs and walked inside, I turned to lock the
