Abuses and costs (part 2)
Abuses and costs (part 2)
I'm trying to do this chronologically, and hopefully, have all of our sights aligned.
Lies and Accusations:
Let's start back in March of 2021, when DHS blamed FEMA for not processing the migrant children to Child Welfare professionals fast enough. At the time, a large influx of migrants were sending their children across the border, solo, because U.S. law stated we'd at least take in the children while their parents were stuck in waiting for legal passage, at the border. There were many migrants captured and their facilities started to get overwhelmingly crowded.
For the record, FEMA deals with natural disasters and stuff like covid relief and other inoculations. And although FEMA does set up shelters, large holding facilities for the 100,000+ migrants that were entering at the time, could take a few months to be completed, which is still a lot faster than most of the other organizations that are in the business of facility set ups. I'm referring to organizations like, Southwest Key, the facility where the workers assaulted their migrant children captives. That one.
To top it all off, DHS followed orders from our Republican political leaders, like my worthless governor, Greg Abbott, who made claims of "Biden's Open Borders Policy", which was not only fabricated lie, but debunked with the fact that there were people still waiting to enter, from as afar back as the 2010 Haiti Earthquake.
And yet here in Texas, DHS, CBP, and others received checks from a $2Bill lawsuit on the government, right when President Biden got his Infrastructure Bill passed. As stated in the first article concerning the $700K stimulus checks in the first article, this included selective checks to various Texas counties (Maverick, Kenedy, Kinney, Uvalde, Hudspeth, Lavaca, Le Salle, etc).
Carelessness and Counter Progression.
By April of 2021, news broke out about ICE releasing illegal immigrant felons. At least 2 were sex offenders. This would explain why B.P. apprehended a migrant with a warrant for indecency with a child in April of 2022. Because the release of the two sex felons, made it very clear that it's okay to enter the U.S. and commit these crimes.
It's an easy assumption, especially with TX Gov Greg Abbott's decision on May of 2022, to push for a law that bans schooling to migrant/undocumented children at our public schools. The removal of that law means the removal of $7Bill, annually, that would normally be put to good use in education system. But what boggles mind is how everyone can still support it, even though we all know that $7Bill is not going back to the state. It's going to be pocketed by the governor and his admin.
It's highway robbery, and you're welcome.
That same year, my Texas governor, Greg Abbot gave the TX State Troopers orders to push back migrants into the Rio Grande, literally. A trooper-medic had expressed his concerns about this in an email to the media. There were barriers of razor-wired buoys dropped in the river, which were not only dangerous for the migrants the first time, but just as dangerous, trying to swim back to Mexico.
The TX Natn'l Guard had pushed a crowd back into the river, resulting to a 4yo passing out of exhaustion after crossing back, in 100 degree weather. A man with a significant laceration to his leg, while untangling his child out of the razor wire. But the worst was when a 19yo pregnant girl got trapped in the razor wire. She survived, but lost her baby. By the following year in July of 2023, at least 748 people died at the Rio Grande Barrier.
Abbott sued the Biden Admin for $2Bill to set up the barrier, that costed $1.5Mill, then he told everybody, "You're safer. now. You're welcome."
More to come. Thank you for your time.
