Jenna Ortega and her Nazi love of her life. Yikes!
So, what we have here is a celebrity that's fallen on the wrong side of love, with a record of abusiveness and assault, and is a white extremist. I call them EXTreme because there's nothing SUPreme about people of hate. Sorry. But I'm going to focus on Miss Ortega, because unless you've living under a rock for the past gazillion years, we all know people of hate are abusive and just plain not good for the human soul.
So why would Ortega have a relationship with a person of hate?
One could say that she simply fell in love with him. Strangely enough, in a Boy Meets Girl scenario. She sees nothing but the good in the individual and has a developed attachment to him. On that very same note, however, in a completely different circumstance: It could be that although she notices his white extremist POV's, she hasn't had a seriously bad encounter with a person of hate. She probably knows some of them from, in and around Hollywood, and such. However, they've never given her any kind of real problem, more than likely because, they're just not much of an influence, in the studio employment scene. They're actually quite friendly and social, in the work environment.
Sound familiar? Those of us ordinary working class citizens have had to hear their bigotry in a more variety of ways.
Such as a minor implementation of discrimination: "You know, I used to work in Detroit, where there's a lot of blacks there, so you know there's a lot of violence, but yeah, I worked real hard to get out of there, and that's how I got working this place. One can really move up in the world if they try."
But let's get back to Jenna Ortega. It's more than likely, he's got her attention as a "bad boy", more so than a racial influencer. Prediction? She finds him attractive, he's going to get abusive, if he hasn't already, and round and round they go.
So what to do about this? Well, I can say I know a little about abusive relationships, but only as the nephew who was old enough to understand, but too little do be able to do anything about it. Plus, I'm Tejano, which is a Mexican-American, Latino-Hispanic of the Chicano Lineage, from TEXAS. And unfortunately, comedian/actors, like George Lopez are correct.
EX: Fam. 1: "Hey, did you hear? Prima got beat up by her husband last night."
Fam. 2: "Don't get involved, don't involved. She's in love, it's not your problem. Don't get involve. Let it go."
(Wonk Wonk).
Unfortunately, this has to be my best advice for all of you, on how to deal with this. Especially, if you're a more hardcore fan of hers. I mean, I'm not. But I can at least say, I respect her. So, I have to respect her wishes.
That being said, I also have to say this, especially as the little nephew that wasn't allowed to beat up the abuser, and couldn't even if I tried, in those youthful years of mine. Keep encouraging her to leave the Nazi boyfriend. Don't order her, but praise her when she does, even if it's numerous of times that she leaves him. Which is usually the case with women who's fallen in love with, said, an abusive man.
As a child that observed this method of family support, I can honestly say, it's really the best thing to do. It's really all that we can do. A woman's love is very strong, once she's fallen in love. There's no escaping that for some. It's human nature.
So, what do we do, until then? Well, she's a powerful actress, maybe we can start searching other powerful actresses that aren't hurting themselves and back that one up. We still show support for Ortega, but obviously, we just can't praise the girl for being the girlfriend of a Nazi.
How about Latina actresses? Well, if memory serves we still love going to see Melissa Barrera movies. Ariana Grande and/or JLo movies. I also still watch whatever Morena Baccarin is in. I really don't have a problem with rushing to the movies, even if it's a brand new girl to the screen. I feel we should always encourage more Latino/Latina actors.
Especially, given the proof that, no one Latin Actor/Actress will chose the same path. Latin Comedians are proof of that. George Lopez: Stays in California, as a podcaster. Fluffy: Californian, still tours the world. Ralph Barbosa: Still laid back, in my home state of Texas. Anjelah Johnson: a Californian who chose to reside in Nashville.
But back to Jenna Ortega. Yeah, we should always encourage her to leave this Nazi guy, but patiently, because when a woman falls in love, it could take years before she wises up.
Thank you for your time.
