This picture was taken at a moment in my life where all I had to look forward to was what nature had to offer me. I was homeless with my father. I lived in a shelter. I slept on mats on church floors. I worked at a gas station making $10.50 an hour and it wasn’t enough to help my father and I get a place. His health was declining rapidly. I was 16 and he was 57. What was I to do? He was on disability
