In chapter 4 we learn more about the mysterious man, Jean Duhamel. The one Danny calls 'Old and Ugly'. We find out where he hails from and his sinister past. Danny gets very ill, blood poisoning, by a cut on his thumb from Mike's dirty knife. He has a feverish dream about Duhamel and seems to get a message from Mike...
