A lot of stories come to me at night when I'm not anywhere near my keyboard! Often, they come in the form of a character's voice. Sometimes, they appear to me as if in a dream. They whisper their names to me, telling me where they come from, where they've been, or what's happened to them. Sometimes, their stories don't have happy endings. Often, these voices come from people, real or imagined, who lived in the past. More often than not, their voices speak of a different homeland. They all have incredible stories to tell. The characters who speak to me often vary in age and description. From a very young child to the elderly. They don't always tell me their names. So, they remain nameless. They come to me, pleading for me to tell their stories.
