She screams at me.

She calls me stupid. 

She calls me lazy.

She calls me useless.

She calls me all sorts of nasty things.

As she does this, I look over to the kitchen.

I see a lonely kitchen knife in the knife stand.

The knife stares back at me, and it speaks to me.

What are you waiting for? Just kill that bitch already, it says. Slit that bitches throat, and watch as the blood spills out of her.

I decided to get out to clear my mind.

Walking out of the house, I notice the car standing in the middle of the driveway.

The car stares at me, and it speaks.

What are you waiting for? Just kill that bitch already, it says. Run her over until she's as flat as a pancake.

I walk away from the car in a hurry.

As I'm walking on the sidewalk, I notice a brick relaxing by itself on the pavement.

I stop to look at it. 

The brick looks up at me, and it speaks.

What are you waiting for? Just kill that bitch already, it says. Go on and bash her skull in, bash it until her head is caved in deep enough to hold ice.

I walk away from the brick in a hurry.

I walk back home.

She starts screaming at me again.

She insults me some more.

I look at her.

I think about what they told me,

And I think to myself: What am I waiting for?
