Daily Disasters: Why I Started Blogging

Everyone has a breaking point, and mine came somewhere between a car accident, an ectopic pregnancy, and losing my mother-in-law. Life didn’t just throw curveballs—it threw the whole stadium. For a while, I felt like I was stuck in a loop of “What now?” moments. But through all of that chaos, I realized one thing: I cope by telling stories.

That’s really how Daily Disasters was born. I’ve always had this strange ability to laugh at the messiest situations—even when they’re stressful, embarrassing, or downright ridiculous. (Like last Tuesday, when I thought my pressure cooker was about to explode lima beans all over the kitchen. Spoiler: it didn’t blow up… it just hissed at me like an angry cat. And yes, I’m still laughing about it.)

But this blog isn’t just about kitchen chaos—it’s about life chaos. The everyday things that make us roll our eyes, mutter under our breath, or burst out laughing when we least expect it. Parenting disasters, household fails, moments where adulthood doesn’t come with an instruction manual—it’s all fair game here.

I want this space to be a mix of humor, honesty, and “oh my gosh, same!” moments. Because life isn’t polished, filtered, or perfectly curated. It’s messy, unpredictable, and sometimes completely unfair. But if we can laugh about it—even just a little—we can get through it.

So welcome to my world of disasters—both big and small. I promise to keep it real, to keep it funny (when I can), and to remind you that none of us have it all figured out. Stick around—there’s a lot more chaos where this came from.

You can publish here, too - it's easy and free.
