Zoharan Mamdani has taken office as the mayor of New York city. And unless you have been living under a rock, then you know that he is a socialist democrat. Well as it turns out he has just signed, and did not appose a planned 10 cent rate hike that was approved by the MTA in September of last year which raised the price for those busses to $3 a trip. Yes the word free no longer exists. he also appointed Cea Weaver as the new director of the city's office to Protect Tenants. She has made controversial comments regarding home ownership as "white supremacy" and a call to "seize private property". Between between 2017 and 2020 she made the following comments on X that have since been deleted. 1)Called home ownership a "weapon of white supremacy" 2)Urged followers to "seize private property 3)Pushed to "elect more communists.

I'm not even going to bother to address that first one, as it is the most Ludacris thing I have ever heard in my life. The second is a blatant call for ordinary citizens to go in and steal homes owned by other people. And the 3rd as all of us older people know will not go well. Why would it?, It has not worked in any other country that it has been tried in.

Of course he was sworn in by Bernie Sanders, and AOC was also present. Kathy Hochell was also present but in my opinion seemed rather un enthusiastic.
