Uxoricide
Your blood looks like crystalline rubies, dotted across pink flesh
Icy blue settles across your perfect lips, for a flicker they must resemble a grin
Upon the dresser lay a silk handkerchief, the ink curves still fresh
It reads of dissatisfaction, a yearning of life polluted by sin
apologies my love, my heart, my soul
The act I have committed- I desired to remain tender
My love wishes to be out of my control
I wish to stay hand in hand, forever.
Now as you rest, peaceful and still
I may eternally lay by your side
And when the people find you, see they will
A husband, regretfully forced into uxoricide
