My Crown is Permanent

My Crown is Permanent- Jeski Adams
My Crown is permanent
And in that there is no debate
Whether you question my worth, my royalty
My head adorned is fate
I earned it too
But not in the way that you think
I deserve every glinting sparkle
Because I was born to be this
This as in Great.
I have been through wars
And it is in battles I have found
That even when my knights flee for cover
I am immovable
Standing strong on shaky ground
I guess that makes me a warrior!
As I have ever been a Queen
Yet I need to explain something so that you know despite my glow up
That there was never an in between
Battle ridden or not
I was born to have this precious metal upon my brow
So call out to me
Try to spit your insults as you stare on
And in your hatred, scowl
But in the end you’re all background noise
I’m the hero in this tale
I’ve been worthy from the start
And you?
When did you ever matter?
Because, as you can see, your arms against me did fail
I am capable. I am gifted.
And I am worthy of love and so much more
My only fault being my burning ears
As they have listened to the cruel words your mouth did pour
I’ve bore that burden
Have let you make me work for something I already had
And that is MY POWER
A thing you’ve hidden from me
Every spark of it showing you’ve chided in me that it’s bad
All the while you’ve just been detesters
Unsure of your own value- you’re mad!
Because every time you think you’ve defeated me-I rise back up!
Each time higher than you ever have
I don’t need your praises
Keep your God, your Devil, and all your curses
I’ll be that demon of which to you I seem
And in my terrible form will my diadem fit snugly atop my head
As for your opinions?
Gone.
I will no longer consume your hatred so easily as fresh baked bread
This time I think I’ll take another route
I AM the Queen of this story
And you? You’re quickly made dead
Because as your monarch, I put down my ruling…
And I demand your fucking head.
