Albany, N.Y. — New legislation expanding protections against discrimination and sexual harassment went into effect today, eliminating the restriction that harassment be "severe or pervasive" in order for it to be legally actionable and prohibiting confidentiality requirements in employment discrimination cases. The provisions make clear that harassment — including sexual harassment — of an employee
