SHINING (poem: villanelle)
If you were a star
In the nighttime abyss,
From the Moon you would be far.
On the sky you would be the brightest scar,
Leaving every living soul speechless
With the desire to trap you in a jar.
You deserve to shine as a star,
With your never dying splendor, endless;
You could be someone’s new beginning, their snowfall.
You could erase the pain of a deep scar,
Because there is light even in the darkness,
And guide people’s mind away, far.
You could give them reasons to love a star,
Give their soul a kiss,
Calm them like a cigar.
A lonely spirit would fall in love with a star,
And try to hold it, have it for themself, what a madness.
A star is not an object nor a guitar,
It’s not a tool you can use to be a superstar.
