I speak out not because I have all the answers or because I expect everyone to agree with me, but because we need to try to change things. By remaining silent, we are COMPLICIT. And I refuse to just be a bystander in all of this. As James Baldwin said, “We can disagree and still love each other—unless your disagreement is rooted in my oppression and denial of my humanity and my right to exist.”
