Greetings, often readers associate Rome with Western Europe. But the City of Rome was practically destroyed by the early 4th Century ( early 300s) A.D, when Constintine came to power. Seeing this, he moved the capitol East, to the meeting point of continents, to a New Rome situated on the Bosphorus Strait.
