I drank excessively for many years, and when I stopped, I started for some reason - I think it was the familarity with it in my childhood because of going to Catholic schools - going to daily Mass. This poem is about the re-ordering of my soul. It is something I must do everyday, seek a vertical, rather than horizontal, solution.
