"The Epitome of a Real Man" by Michele D. Davis
There are moments in life that truly take your breath away, and for me, many of those moments come from the quiet power of my wife's words. Michele has a remarkable talent for weaving emotions and observations into beautiful poetry, and it's a gift she often shares with me directly. Today, I want to share with y’all a poem she wrote to me about me a while back, one that resonated deeply and truly touched my heart.

Michele's writing isn't just about crafting pretty verses; it's about capturing the essence of things, often with a profound understanding of what makes a person, a relationship, or even a simple moment special. Her poetry has a way of reflecting the values and qualities we cherish, and this particular piece is a perfect example.
It's called "The Epitome of a Real Man," and as I read it, I can’t help but feel a wave of gratitude and love. It’s a powerful reflection on integrity, loyalty, and the kind of steadfast character that truly makes a man stand tall. I'm incredibly proud to share it with y’all.
“The Epitome of a Real Man”
A man that gives to you his word,
And then keeps it is a find.
For in these failing times we’re in,
Those types of men were left behind.
So few are they with hearts so pure,
They stand outnumbered and alone.
They believe in all that is just and right,
They love their life and their home.
He is loyal to his loving wife,
Because to him true love is rare.
To him this bond is most sacred,
And what others think he doesn't care.
They do not lie or cheat their friends,
For a man’s no better than his word.
Their simple men that’s true enough,
And they never repeat what they've heard.
A man of honor and of the truth,
He stands alone so proud and tall.
This man’s integrity is very strong,
And with that alone he has it all.
