

Burmese Tea Leaf Salad (Lahpet Thoke)


Ingredients: For the Salad: Fermented tea leaves (known as "lahpet") - about ½ cup Fresh vegetables : 1 medium tomato, diced ½ cucumber, diced 1 small carrot, shredded 2 green onions (scallions), sliced Nuts & Seeds : ⅓ cup roasted peanuts, roughly chopped ¼ cup sesame seeds, toasted Lemon or lime juice - 2-3 tablespoons Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon Fish sauce (optional) - 1 teaspoon Chili flakes (to taste)
