Letter II — A Psalm in the Wilderness

free note

I walk through heat and heaviness,

through a land that does not hold me.

There is no refuge behind me—

no door,

no quiet room.

So I carry it.

I carry my pain,

and my faith beside it—

like water in trembling hands.

I have walked this wilderness

for more than a decade,

becoming

as I go.

At times, I have been alone.

Still, my heart loves deeply.

Still, it reaches—

even when it breaks.

You see me—

even here.

When my chest tightens,

when peace feels far,

when I grow weary of the noise—

You remain.

Lead me gently from this place.

From the weight.

From the striving.

Bring me into stillness.

Make me unafraid.

Make me unburdened.

Let me step out of the wilderness

and into Your light—

and finally,

be free.
