1. Welcome to My Vault: A Writer's Introduction

I am from Canada, and I have been a writer for almost a decade. My background includes professional experience as a Creative Writer for a radio, where my focus was on clear, impactful messaging. I also launched and produced my own pagan music podcast, Music from the Goddess' Vault, which started in 2015 and still going on.

Yes, I am a practicing Pagan, a path I have followed for almost 20 years. I am currently considering how and if I will write about that journey here. I might not do that, but who knows.

2. My Writing Philosophy: Quality Over Quantity

You won't see me posting here every single day. I don't agree with the idea that writers must write every day. I believe that forcing myself to write daily hurts the quality of the final piece. My main reason for writing is simple: connection. I only sit down to write when I have a genuine feeling or a good idea that I know will truly resonate with you. Yes, money on platforms like Notd.io is certainly nice. I am currently looking for other professional work. But honestly, my real goal is just finding followers and building a genuine community of readers.

3. The Digital Sandbox: Gaming and Fanfiction

I'm a big gamer, and The Sims 4 is my current favorite creative tool. I use the game to build interesting characters and situations that actually help me write better and make my stories more engaging. I currently post all my Sims 4 Fanfiction over on Tumblr.

I would love to start sharing those stories here on Notd.io, but I need a simple payment setup. My plan is straightforward: most chapters will always be free. I'll only set a paid price for chapters that cover subjects or actions that aren't suitable for a general audience. And don't worry, I promise to always give a clear chapter summary for those of you who don't want to read nsfw content or want to spend money.

4. Why I'm Hesitant to Post Here

I need to be honest: I'm a little nervous about joining Notd.io. I've had disappointing experiences on Medium.com, where I only earned pennies. I'm also not good at selling my own work. I prefer to just let my writing speak for itself.

What I really want is genuine feedback and conversation. While getting kind emojis on Tumblr is nice, I’m hoping for thoughtful responses about the topic here. I've found that posting my work on social media just leads to a lack of real connection. That's why I'm focusing all my energy right here on Notd.io to build a direct community with you.
