Horsham Clinc: Help or Hell?
My first day at Horsham I had no bed. I was on a cot in the school room there. It was cold, the blankets were flimsy and I knew this would be hell. Visit 1 is not remarkable so I won't dwell on it. But my other times undercover there are much worse. Let's start with visit 2. There was a staff on sight Mrs Kira. She was black with long hair and an attitude everyone hated. She was crack #1. She stood in the hallway at 10 pm way past bedtime rearranging rooms. She put me in with a violent girl. When I said I wouldn't feel safe she snarled at me and said "Guess you won't feel safe then". No regard for me as a person.
Mrs Sheena was crack #2. She was cruel. One day 2 of the staff Mr Art and Mrs K weren't there. Now if you don't like the meals sent over typically you'd be allowed to eat something else. This one girl on the unit, let's call her A waw allergic to shrimp. Lunch delivered to the unit was shrimp scampi. She told Mrs Sheena and the woman replied "Mr Art and Mrs K wouldn't let you have something else. If your being stubborn then you just won't eat". Mrs Art and Mrs K would allow something else. They were the good ones.
Let's move on to Dr Greko. Dr G as she was called. On the surface she was ok. I don't want to seem like all I do is bash people so I'll start with a compliment. She was amazing with handling medication. That's where my positive feedback on her ends. By my 4th time undercover she started telling me how I was feeling and thinking along with making incorrect corrections to what I said about myself. She wouldn't let me talk and kept refusing to listen. I grew to dislike her. Mrs Kristen a supposed social worker was just as bad. Both were arrogant. Mrs Kristen was so harsh she made me cry once then used my tears against me to prevent me from leaving. They used their positions as staff to get away with things claiming no one would believe the patients of a mental health facility. Especially because we were children at the time. What she never realized is I don't have anger issues. My name was not what she assumed. I was there to gather info and she gave away alot without knowing it. Like when she misdiagnosed me with anxiety and then held it against me in everything. Not only did I not have anxiety, I loved crowds and was very sociable. Outside my investigations I was a cheerleader. The last thing someone with anxiety would enjoy.
Then there was the religious discrimination. Horsham claims to let any religion be practiced. Christians on sight could publicly read the Bible and pray, Muslims were accommodated for Ramadon but of course more taboo religions were wrongfully discriminated against. One girl on the unit was a Satanist. The staff yelled at her for talking with another girl of the same religion, accused her of being delusional, asked if she saw pentagrams when she closed her eyes, etc. She got punished for even looking at her satanic Bible. I myself am a mix of Wiccan and Hellenic. That of course was treated like I opened the gates of hell. I was forbidden to speak on Greek mythology, not allowed to talk about what I believe in and had privileges taken for it. According to Horsham's own rules anyone there is free to practice whatever religion they believe in as long as it's a legally recognized religion. Instead they only let the socially acceptable religions be practiced while the rest of us were banned and punished.
There's smaller incidents that happened but nothing significant enough to be here. The truth of it is Horsham is a terrible place. If your child needs help do not send them here or you'll cause more harm then good
