The four planes of reality describe layered states of existence: the Physical plane (the flesh, bones, and nervous system), the Emotional plane (the pulse, breath, and soul-energy), the Mental plane (thought patterns, perception, and intellect), and the Spiritual plane (higher awareness, essence, and purpose).
