My name is Sal. I am 18 years old, and I am about to graduate high school in June. I turn 19 in April. I have a lot of ideas that I’d like to share with whoever happens to read anything I post about, as I’d like to think that my ideas are worth reading about—and more importantly; give someone something to think about that they might’ve not thought about before. Or maybe they have, and my beliefs can offer them a different perspective on certain things.

Even though I am young, and I don’t know everything, I try to put as much thought into my ideas as possible. I don’t want to sound like I know everything, but I also don’t want to sound like I don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s similar to how my parents will bounce between “you’re an adult now” and “you’re still a kid”. I’m worried about being too far on one side.

Nevertheless, I’m posting here. For this note, I’ll simply introduce myself.

I have a lot of different hobbies. I make music. Not professionally, not even on a PC. I make music on my iPad and I also do live coding on Strudel. I actually had 2 EP’s released on bandcamp and soundcloud, but I deleted them, as I was embarrassed. I used to draw a lot more when I was younger, but art is still a very prominent hobby of mine. Lots of people have told me I should pursue art career wise, but I always say no. I also like to read, and write (obviously.) I am in the process of writing my own book! I love writing short stories about my characters. Beyond creative work, I also like to play stealth video games and regular card games. I have a soft spot for psychological horror in both movies and video games. My favorite game is Hellblade, and I plan on writing an article on the first and second game in the future.

Moving on, my ideas are somewhat hypocritical. I hold a lot of different beliefs that, if bound to one label such as a set religion, may make me sound like a trend hopper, to put it simply. I have no set religion. A lot of my ideas, however, stem from religion, as it has played a vital role in my life and my development as a person. Of course, I hold beliefs and have ideas beyond the expanse of religion. I also love literary analysis and argumentative essays or articles. I’ve always been highly interested in writing essays, often times getting one of the top grades of my class. I am, admittedly, horrible at disciplining myself in school, and will often times skip or leave early. All of my teachers complain that I do the work good…just only when I’m in class. Which is……almost never.

Anyway.

The ideas I want to talk about the most are mainly about abstract ideas and character development. My first article will, hopefully, be about love and why the illusion of it (as society views it) is important to humanity. There will be no factual statements. It will be purely off of observation. It’s one of my most thought out ideas, aside from why religion has been so important to society and individuals. But anyway, thanks for reading my blabbering.
