Before time had a name, there was only Elohim—the God of all power—and an endless, silent expanse. The cosmos was empty, formless, and enveloped in deep, pitch-darkness. Yet, amidst the stillness, the Spirit of God hovered over the primordial waters, poised like a breath before a masterpiece.

Then, the silence broke.

Day 1: The Spark of Light

God spoke into the blackness: "Let there be light."

Instantly, brilliant radiance burst forth, scattering the darkness. God saw that the light was good, useful, and pure. He separated the blazing light from the lingering dark, naming the light "Day" and the darkness "Night." Evening settled, morning broke, and the very first day began.

Day 2: The Vault of Heaven

On the second day, God willed an expanse to form in the midships of the swirling waters. The cosmic waters divided—some gathered beneath, while the rest rose above. God named this vast blue canopy "Heaven." Twilight faded, and dawn appeared, completing the second day.

Day 3: Dry Land and Bursting Life

"Let the waters under the heavens gather into one place, and let dry land appear," God declared.

As the oceans surged into deep basins—forming the vast seas—rocky ridges, rolling hills, and fertile soil emerged on the Earth. But the land was not meant to stay barren. God commanded the earth to sprout with life. Instantly, tender green shoots broke through the soil. Fruit trees, leafy plants, and lush vegetation bloomed, each carrying seeds to replicate after its own kind. God observed the vibrant landscape, affirming its beauty. Evening passed, morning came: the third day.

Day 4: Sun, Moon, and Stars

To govern the flow of time and illuminate the sky, God willed light-bearers into existence across the expanse of heaven.

A blazing, magnificent sun arose to rule the day.

A soft, silver moon climbed the night sky to rule the darkness.

Countless galaxies and stars were flung across the cosmos, setting the rhythm for days, seasons, and years.

God set them in their orbits, watching the lights weave order into the universe. The fourth day drew to a close.

Day 5: Life in Sea and Sky

The stillness of the young earth gave way to movement on the fifth day. God called forth life from the deeps and the winds:

"Let the waters swarm with living creatures, and let birds soar above the earth across the open sky."

Huge sea creatures glided through the ocean depths, accompanied by shimmering schools of fish, while birds of every color and song filled the air. God blessed them to be fruitful and multiply, filling the oceans and skies. Morning broke on the fifth day.

Day 6: Living Creatures and the Crown of Creation

On the sixth day, the land itself stirred. At God’s command, cattle, crawling creatures, and wild beasts of every kind roamed the forests and plains.

Then came the grand climax of creation. God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness."

From the dust of the ground, God fashioned humanity—male and female—endowing them with a spiritual and moral likeness to Himself. He placed them as stewards over the earth, blessing them to be fruitful, multiply, and care for every bird, fish, and living creature. To nourish them, God provided the seed-bearing plants and fruit trees across the earth.

Complete and Very Good

God looked out over everything He had brought into being—from the distant, swirling stars to the smallest crawling creature on the earth. It was not just good; it was very good.

Evening faded, morning dawned, and the sixth day was complete.
