Jesus defines the Father plainly.

God is a Spirit” (John 4:24).

A Spirit is not limited. Not located. Not confined.

David says, “Where shall I go from Your Spirit? If I ascend into heaven, You are there… If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there” (Psalm 139:7–8).

This shows:

• God fills all space

• God fills all time

• God cannot be contained in a single location

This is the Father — the eternal, invisible Spirit.

2. God Housed Himself in a Body for Sacrifice

That same Spirit took on flesh.

“The Word was God… and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1, 14).

“God was manifest in the flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16).

God did not send another person.

He clothed Himself in humanity.

The body of Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15).

This body—born of Mary, weak, mortal, killable—existed for sacrifice.

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me” (Hebrews 10:5).

The eternal Spirit entered a temporary body so that:

• God could bleed

• God could die

• God could rise again

This is the Son—the human body of God, the sacrificial Lamb.

3. The Son Prays to the Father Because Flesh Cannot Pray to Itself

When Jesus prays, He prays as a man.

Spirit does not pray; flesh prays.

The voice from heaven is not “Person #1 talking to Person #2.”

It is the eternal Spirit witnessing to the incarnate flesh.

At baptism:

The Spirit speaks from heaven.

The Son stands in the water.

The Spirit descends symbolically like a dove.

Not three gods.

Not three minds.

Not three beings.

It is:

• God’s omnipresent Spirit above

• God’s incarnate body below

• God’s empowering Spirit descending

This is one God acting in three ways at one moment.

4. Christ Promises the Holy Spirit — But Says He Will Come

Here is the key passage:

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you **another Comforter… I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:16–18).

Jesus says:

The Father will send the Comforter

But I will come to you

And the Comforter will dwell in you

And I will be in you (John 14:20)

If the Comforter were a different person from Jesus, this would be contradictory.

Instead, Jesus explains:

The Holy Spirit… whom the Father will send in My name” (John 14:26).

The Spirit of truth… I will come to you.”

The Spirit sent by the Father is Jesus returning in Spirit, no longer limited by a body.

This is the Holy Spirit — God dwelling inside His people.

5. One God Operating in Three Manifestations

Using the language of Scripture only:

The Father = the eternal Spirit everywhere at once.

The Son = the body that Spirit lived in to be our sacrifice.

The Holy Spirit = that same Spirit now poured out into believers.

Three distinct functions.

One divine identity.

Not three persons.

Not three centers of consciousness.

One God revealing Himself in three ways to accomplish one plan.

6. This Is Seen Clearly in the Baptism Scene

Revisiting Matthew 3:13–17 with Oneness clarity:

The Father speaks

The omnipresent Spirit bears witness from heaven.

The Son obeys

The human Messiah submits to baptism.

The Spirit descends

The empowering presence of God comes upon the body He created.

Not three beings.

Not one person talking to Himself.

One God acting simultaneously:

• transcendent (Father)

• incarnate (Son)

• indwelling and empowering (Spirit)

Just as light can shine, radiate heat, and illuminate a room while still being one substance, God works in multiple expressions without dividing His essence.
